Bit of a delay - Otter sightings have dropped. I think to be expected since the yougsters are now old and knowledgeable enough to fend for themselves. My last sighting along the usual stretch of the River Teifi was not the Mother but could have been one of the grown up youngsters. I had to almost run to keep up with is as it moved upstream sometimes in the water and often running along the bank.

However - there have been recent sightings of 3 otters together at the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran. The chances of their being two Mothers with 2 youngsters within 10 miles of each can't be that high and since the exact location of their holt is not known it is possible they are able to patrol that stretch.
If I can get a photo of them I might be able to confirm by looking at the patterns on their noses.
This is my most recent clue taken at the Welsh Wildlife Centre yesterday Feb 12th.
